Registration Process

How do I enroll my child?

Admission to Smarter Toddler is on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to siblings. Enrollment is based on a September to August school year. However, we do have rolling admissions. We do not interview applicants or families. We work together with the parents to decide whether Smarter Toddler is the right fit for their family.

The first step in enrolling your child at Smarter Toddler is to schedule a tour. Email us to request an admissions packet. Bring the completed registration form with you to the tour. Once you have had a tour, if you are still interested in the facility you can turn in your completed registration form along with a deposit. There is also a one-time non-refundable application fee of $65 required with your registration form.

How does the deposit work and is it refundable?

The deposit is equivalent to one month’s tuition and it is due upon acceptance in order to hold your spot. Tuition is then due on your start date. This deposit will be credited toward the last month of enrollment for your family. Your deposit is fully refundable with a 60-day written notice of your intent to withdraw from the program. The same policy applies once you have started the program. If you find yourself moving out of town or just simply moving on, please be sure to give the school a 60-day written notice. Your deposit will then be applied to your last month’s tuition.

How far ahead can I enroll?

You can enroll up to a year ahead. Even though we do have rolling admissions, the best point of entry at Smarter Toddler is September, January and sometimes June. For infants it is advisable to sign up as soon as you know what your plans are for returning to work. Most working parents sign up for the baby’s 3rd or 4th month as most people return to work around that time. If there isn’t availability for your desired schedule, you are welcome to go on the waitlist. There is no fee to go on the waitlist.

How does the waitlist work?

If a spot becomes available, we check in with the people on the waitlist through a phone call and/or email. If you are called from the waitlist, we expect your decision within 48 hours. That is why it is so important to take a tour and to familiarize yourself with the center before going on the waitlist.

Do I have a better chance at a spot if I put a deposit down to go on the waitlist?

No you do not. We only take a deposit when we have a definite spot for your child whether it is for starting next month or a year from now. When you get a call from the waitlist then you can put down a deposit for the available spot.

Returning Families

Families are guaranteed placement from year to year provided they submit a re-enrollment form due by March 1st of each year. Families are provided an opportunity to request preferred schedules for the following school year prior to re-enrollment.

How do I pay for my deposit?

For the deposit we require a personal check made out to Smarter Toddler. In the future, tuition can be paid by check or American Express. If you are interested in using your AMEX, a form will be provided to you.
